Incite’s engagement practice designs and delivers processes that challenge organisations to re-think sustainability to enhance their competitiveness in a changing world. These processes include high-level stakeholder dialogues, future-scenario workshops and behaviour-changing corporate communications. Our approach is designed to ensure integration with a company’s sustainability strategy and reporting processes. We work with leading creative agencies and thinkers in our network to deliver sustainability engagements at scale with a distinctly South African perspective.
Our offerings
Stakeholder dialogue: We facilitate challenging conversations between companies and leading thinkers in the sustainability space. Engaging internal and external stakeholders, our dialogues seek the creative edge between provocative and inspiring. They help companies better understand the issues that really matter in their sector and what they should be doing to compete in a changing world. A written report accompanies all conversations and facilitates ongoing engagements. We also help companies map their external thought leaders (media and opinion formers) and design the messages they want to communicate to them.
Transition zone scenarios: We run a scenario-forecasting process with a company’s stakeholders to explore the transition zone and create a picture of what doing business in a sustainable society could look like. This involves building a number of possible visions and narratives for the future by considering the interplay between resource, markets, innovation and policy variables in a changing world. Through research and analysis, facilitated workshops and conversations, we map these futures and communicate them as sustainability engagement tools.
Sustainability engagement plans: We design sustainability engagement plans for organisations to engage their stakeholders (internally and externally) and encourage behaviour change around sustainability. Our clear, practical, tailor-made plans support a company’s sustainability strategy and ensure consistency of sustainability engagements. A plan typically include engagement objectives, stakeholder profiles, messages, tactics and engagement channels.
Engaging communications: We produce creative communications to engage stakeholders in sustainability. Based on behaviour change best practice, and working with leading creative agencies, our communications go beyond green tips and information touting brochures to communications that really challenge people and business to re-think sustainability based on the issues facing Africa today.
