This discussion paper (for comment) provides practical guidance on integrated reporting practice. The paper was developed by the Integrated Reporting Committee (IRC) Working Group, of which Jonathan Hanks is a member. The discussion paper has been submitted as an input to the development of the global framework for integrated reporting that is being developed by the International Integrated Reporting Committee. Jonathon Hanks co-authored a section of this recently published free EBook (download it off our website in 2 Parts). Published by Harvard Business School, the book is a compilation of contributions from leading authorities on corporate disclosure, following a workshop at Harvard University that focused on the global shift to integrated reporting. This Discussion Paper was undertaken by Incite for UNEP as a contribution to the UNFCCC negotiations in Copenhagen in December 2009. The paper provides a detailed review of significant publications and workshop contributions of research bodies and think tanks on sectoral approaches, assesses the positions and activities of relevant industry sectoral bodies, and identifies some of the key challenges, risks and opportunities associated with sectoral approaches, suggesting what is required and politically realistic for a post-Kyoto regime. The paper is intended to assist negotiators, policy-makers and other interested parties in the development and implementation of sectoral approaches as a means of addressing the global challenge of climate change. This report provides a brief review of the outcomes of the South African consultations on AccountAbility’s stakeholder engagement standard (AA 1000 SES). These consultations were facilitated by Incite Sustainability in October 2009. (Download PDF, 250Kb)
