Previous experience

Katya has significant experience as a researcher, analyst and writer having worked in this field over the last nine years. For the last five years she has been a key member of Incite Sustainability's corporate sustainability advisory activities, having worked with companies in the telecommunications, financial, retail and petrochemical sectors in South Africa and elsewhere in Africa. 

Katya has also worked in recent years as a freelance research analyst, working predominantly with web-based sources, in diverse fields.

Prior to joining Incite, Katya worked for four years with Fleishman-Hillard, an international communications consultancy. As a senior account executive, her principal responsibilities included the development of PR and media strategies, drafting and distribution of media releases, media analysis (research and interpretation), and compiling client newsletters.

Education

1991-1995: MA History of Art and Italian, University of Edinburgh (3rd year in Siena, Tuscany)
