David Le Page

Expertise

Sustainability report writing and editing, research and environmental journalism.

Previous experience

David is a writer, journalist and editor. His career began as an advertising copywriter in some of South Africa's larger ad agencies.

He shifted to journalism, working for the national weekly paper, the Mail & Guardian, covering everything from economics to science, with occasional forays into investigative journalism. He was the editor of the Mail & Guardian website for several months in 2001, and helped restore its fortunes. After two years living in Europe, he returned to South Africa to work on HIV educational documentaries for the Nobel- nominated Treatment Action Campaign.

Over the past few years, David has added academic editing expertise to working in journalism, recently collaborating on a book on the UN and Africa commissioned by the Centre for Conflict Resolution. In 2008, he worked as editor of the African research news journal, Research Africa.

David began collaborating on Incite projects at the beginning of 2008.
